Darkroom and first home-processed film

19/10/11
I've recently managed to agree the use of a spare room for me to use as a darkroom since buying all the equipment a few weeks ago. So, I popped back into Uni and spoke to a technician regarding the chemicals, and which he'd recommend, and then later bought them.I set up my darkroom on Monday, and shot a roll of Ilford Pan F yesterday to practice. My chemicals arrived this afternoon, and I excitedly mixed them in the bathroom at home.
A bit later, I got my negatives, although as I expected, a few frames weren't processed right as I'd not managed to load the film onto the reel properly - might need a new reel as it didn't seem to take the film easily, and so the film stuck, so parts didn't develop correctly.
So, above are a few images of my new darkroom (not dark though, needed flash on my compact camera to get the image!), processing, and a quick scan of an image - covered in dust, but this was only scanned for the purpose of this blog, and obviously when I come to use the images properly, will be cleaned up before scanning.
Before I leave Stoke in around 2 weeks, I plan to get into the darkroom and get some practice prints done, which I'll upload to here.
