Finally got round to doing something productive, if only a start!Like my last bit of writing said, I'm sorting old stuff from my website and carting it off to make space for new work as and when it's ready.
A lot of pictures and galleries have been removed from the site, as they are either really old, or not what I'm into anymore. Since Uni, I've realised a few things: A) that a lot of my work was never that great in the first place due to trying to learn how to do lots of different styles of images rather than concentrating on one specific area, and B) that I don't really want to use photography as a job, but to enjoy it for what it was originally - a hobby.
So I'm going back to basics - doing what I enjoy, for myself, with no pressure of deadlines other than my own.
This involves a couple of decisions that I've had to think long and hard about - selling my Nikon D3s that I've recently just finished paying for, and all the lenses. I'm not getting the most out of it, and I know I will not in the future, so am selling to fund my film/darkroom work - what I will use.
I've shot a few films over the last couple of months, and love the old fashioned, traditional feel I'm getting with the images.
I'm back in Stoke next week so can get in my darkroom and get some prints done, with hopefully new images in the same vein as my Peak District prints from earlier this year.
