New Work

Finally got round to scanning in my negatives from the last couple of months, and have created a new gallery on my website, entitled South East (as this is the general location of the photographs...).

Mainly of trees for now - I like the emptiness of the scenes, the bleakness of the landscape on an overcast day. I think it's a nice contrast to the typical romantic kinds of images we have come to expect within landscape photography, i.e. the sunsets/sunrises, trying to enhance the beauty of the landscape, which I tried to step away from with my Peak District images.

Some of these new photographs have been printed in the darkroom, so hopefully in the next couple of days or so, I'll put some scans of those prints up.
