Woodlands

Article text
Living in Sussex now, one of the most heavily wooded counties in England, I have plenty of access to lots of new trees and wildlife that were previously less common or not even present in Staffordshire.
So, having rekindled some enthusiasm for photography, I've been getting out walking and exploring my new surroundings.

Here are a couple of pictures that I've picked up over the last few weeks, and done some Photoshop editing on them. Not something I've really done before, but I quite like the subtle antique-ish-ness. Before I did anything to them, these images looked OK, but the colours were a bit flat, there was no impact. I feel simplifying the image to black and white, then applying a sepia tone, and enhancing contrast and reducing the brightness has created a far more interesting image.
